Hobgood Baseball is proud to announce the 6U Hobgood Heat All-Star team as the Dizzy Dean World Series Runner- Up. The Heat blazed through the field going 7-0 and outscoring their opponents 135-27. The Heat were the only undefeated team left standing and faced off against the Acworth Warriors in the World Series Championship Game on Thursday, July 20th.

The Heat started off strong in the Championship Game but ended up losing 19-13, which forced a second game. The Acworth Warriors ultimately defeated the Heat in the second game to claim the World Series Championship. Four members of the Heat were named to the All-Tournament team: Bryce Bessho, Caleb Hughes, Brooks McKenna, and Joe Nevle.

Congratulations to the 6U Hobgood Heat for an
incredible summer after going 31-5 and outscoring their opponents 626-293. The Heat only lost to one team the entire summer, going 4-5 against the Acworth
Warriors.  The 6U Hobgood Heat competed in 7 tournaments this summer and captured 4 championship titles and 2 runner-up titles. The 6U Hobgood Heat will be the reigning District 3 and State Champions heading into next summer.

Bessho, Nolan Bower, Tyler Gebhart, Carter Gilliam, Caleb Hughes, Brooks McKenna, Joe Nevle, Dalton Shakar, Logan Stradley, Jack Strickland, and Jake Zehner. Coaching Staff includes: Nick Bessho, Head Coach; Matt McKenna,
Assistant Coach; Mark Nevle, Assistant Coach; Steve Shakar, Assistant Coach; and Dave Zehner, Assistant Coach.
