Cherokee County high school students can win a laptop computer or a 2011 Ford Fiesta or other care for getting good grades. At the end of each quarter, a student can earn three entries in a drawing for every A on a report card, one entry for every B and one entry for perfect attendance. One of the entries will win a laptop computer. At the end of the year, Cherokee Ford will calculate which 100 juniors and seniors earned the most entries during the year. Each of those 100 will get a key. One key will start the Ford, and the holder of that key wins the car. Students have to register their second-quarter report cards by Jan. 21, their third-quarter report cards by April 8 and their final report cards by June 9.
