Gas South sponsors 75 special needs children at Disney on Ice show

Seventy-five special needs children from the Atlanta region will get to meet the stars of Disney on Ice’s Rockin’ Ever After  thanks to a special gift from Gas South and its partners.

The children and a parent or guardian will attend a special pre-show pizza party Oct. 12 at Philips Arena, where they will interact with the characters. The party is in addition to tickets to the Rockin’ Ever After show, which features Brave’s Merida, the Little Mermaid’s Ariel, Rapunzel from Tangled and Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

The program is sponsored by Gas South, Georgia’s fast-growing natural gas provider since 2008, and its Alliance Partners – the cities of Acworth, Kennesaw and Woodstock.

“Gas South is committed to giving back to the communities we serve,” Gas South President and CEO Kevin Greiner said. “This is just one way where we can provide a special night to some children who truly deserve it.”

Gas South has partnerships with 10 municipalities, one county and six EMCs. Through the partnerships, Gas South provides discounted natural gas rates to residents and businesses, as well as gives back to the governments and utilities.

The special Disney on Ice party is part of Gas South Cares, a company-wide initiative that focuses on making a difference every day through hands-on volunteer work and corporate giving. In February, Gas South also partnered with local municipalities to take 150 Georgia children with special needs to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
