Mountain Road Elementary School has won the title of “Best World School Milk Day Celebration in Georgia” from the Southeast United Dairy Industry Association.  Representatives from the Southeast Dairy Industry Association recently visited the school to help students celebrate World Milk Day.  They passed out pencils and helped students as they drank milk and created milk mustaches.  The Chick-fil-A cow also joined in the festivities and PTA parents helped with the event. 

“We truly enjoyed your photos and joining your school that day,” Rashida Shoemaker, School Program Account Manager for Southeast United Dairy Industry Association, said in her congratulatory message to the school.  “Georgia’s Dairy Farmers appreciate your hard and dedicated work!”

The Mountain Road ES cafeteria staff coordinated the event, and they were presented with the certificate. They are: Tonya Cannon, Kathy Stamey, Eri Stanley, Tammy Evans and Judy Bracknell.
