River Ridge High School Anatomy Students Autopsy Pickles
After learning about the different regions of the human body and correct terminology for anatomy, students in Chris Akins’ anatomy classes at River Ridge High School performed autopsies on pickles. The premise was the pickles had succumbed to an unknown cause of death, and the students’ assignment was to investigate likely causes. The students practiced their forensic skills to examine both gross anatomy and microscopic anatomy. Ashley Joyner, left, and Shayla Italo cut into their pickle.
