River Ridge High School Students Learn About Languages
River Ridge High School students in Samantha Fraser’s Advanced Placement (AP) Human Geography class learned about the relationships in world languages from lessons led by fellow students. Junior Liza Jamison and sophomores Chetan Velivela, Cindy Chen, Satpal Sagoo, Alan Tomusiak, Felicia Williams and Evan Duffield all conducted lessons on their native and acquired languages. The AP students learned familiar phrases and interesting words, as well as how to introduce themselves in Latvian, Thelgu, Mandarin Chinese, German Finnish, Polish and American Sign Language. Sophomore Felicia Williams teaches freshman David Teran how to sign his name.
