Woodstock Captain Graduates from Rigorous Program

On Friday, May 27 the Woodstock Police Department congratulated Capt. Dan King, Commander of Field Operations, as he graduated from Northwestern University’s 312th School of Police Staff and Command.

The 10 week-long course, which spanned across a five month period, started in January and was hosted by Alpharetta Police Department.  Attendees included law enforcement leaders from all over metro-Atlanta agencies.  The course covered topics such as budgeting, staffing, leadership and ethics.

Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command is considered to be one of the most challenging law enforcement management programs in the Nation.

King has been with the Woodstock Police Department since 1999.  While employed with the department, he has worked in various capacities such as patrol officer, detective, Special Operations Group Commander, Criminal Investigations Commander and Public Information Officer.

Capt. Dan King currently resides in Woodstock with his wife, Penny.  He has two daughters, Emily and Rebecca.
