Downtown Woodstock is hosting a Scarecrow Parade and everyone is invited to take part!
Halloween is just around the corner and we would love to have you become part of the Scarecrow Parade. Let's line the streets with whimsy fun and a little scary. Many cities all over country make their scarecrow parade one of the highlights of the year and Woodstock is going to be part of the list.
The rules are simple. Just use your creative skills and away you go to building a fantastic scarecrow. The entry fee is $20, and the proceeds will be donated to the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village. The public will determine the winner by mailing in a dollar a vote to Elm Street at 8534 Main Street, Woodstock Ga 30188. The entry fee should be sent to the same address.
Scarecrows must be ready to be displayed by Oct. 3. Please call Diane Geeslin for placement of the scarecrows in Downtown. The scarecrow parade is not only open to the business community, but also to the general public. The number to reach Diane is (334) 596-1873 or by e-mail at dgeeslin@bellsouth.net.

Our children can't wait to see their school scarecrow in downtown Woodstock! Please vote for Towne Lake Academy's scarecrow and support the arts in our community!
