Best Places to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Woodstock
Here, the Patch guide to St. Patrick's Day in Woodstock, from the best Guinness pours to the most delicious Irish dinners.
Maybe you aren't as Irish as St. Patrick himself (who was kidnapped and sent to Ireland as a slave, escaped in 409 and returned to Ireland in 432, believing he had been called upon to spread the word of God) but on March 17, everyone is a little Irish.
So, check out these St. Patrick's Day options in Woodstock and beyond:
First, check out Woodstock choices for dining, drinking and partying on St. Paddy's Day, which include Donovan's Irish Cobbler, Summits Wayside Tavern and Fire Stone Wood Fired Pizza & Grill.
Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch's Reader's Choice for the best place in town to celebrate the holiday: Donovan's Irish Cobbler.
Other Woodstock restaurants that usually offer St. Patrick's Day specials include: PURE Taqueria, Taco Mac, Jersey's Sports Bar and Grille, Freight Kitchen & Tap and The Place Bar & Grill.
Patch's Readers' Choice for the best places to have some Irish fun beyond Woodstock include Irish pubs, such as Marietta's Johnnie MacCracken’s Celtic Pub and Roswell's Harp Irish Pub, and restaurants, such as Cartersville's The City Cellar & Loft and Dallas' Beef 'O' Brady's.

Let's recall rate this list. Instead of reporting last year's readers choice list why not find out directly from each establishment what our plans are for this St. Patty's day. For our part, FREIGHT will feature some great braised corned beef and cabbage as well as Irish bangers and mash.

Honestly? I'm pressed for time! On a more serious note, part of Patch's mission is to give the community a soundboard to provide editors and the readers feedback on what local restaurants are doing as opposed to doing the typical "what are you doing for St. Patty's Day" story so often done by traditional media outlets.
As part of Patch's mission, we also encourage local restaurants and community stakeholders to blog with us and tell the community what they are doing--just like you do with the blog you've started with Patch.
If you have anything written up, I'd be more than happy to share it with our readers. Thanks!

Please as a real Irishman it is St Patrick's Day or St Paddy's Day but never St Patty's Day. Thanks for the informative info, I've never been disappointed by the food in Donovan's Irish Cobbler! Cheers and Happy St Paddy's Day!
