Birders Flock to Rose Creek Library
Here is the information you need to know June 13.
1. Today's high will reach 91 degrees with winds as high as 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The day and night calls for sunny and clear skies with a low of 63 degrees going into the evening.
2. The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. On the top of the agenda is the first reading of an ordinance to extend the moratorium on pain clinics. Check back at 10 a.m. to see a full preview and later tonight for live coverage from the meeting.
3. A wave of summer camps start today, but it's still not too late to get your kids enrolled. Here are a list of local camps for you to check out.
4. The Georgia Caged Bird Society will show how to care for a variety of bird species at Squeak Squawk! Bird Talk! at Rose Creek Library at 3:30 p.m. This is an open event for everyone for birders to share their stories and also a chance to learn more about this animal.
5. The Cherokee County Mug Shots will publish at 8 p.m. instead of 10 a.m. There are now available daily Monday through Friday. In order to see the charges for each person, match the booking number found under the mug shot on the provided PDF.
