Bob the Turkey Honored with Headstone

The Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department placed an engraved marker at Bob's gravesite.

The community now has an official site to visit Bob the Turkey as he rests near his home on Main Street with a proper headstone.

Members from the placed a brick marker engraved with "'Bob' the Turkey 2012" this morning for the beloved town mascot. The memorial site is still surrounded by flowers, notes and the sign from his home across the street.

, by the Parks and Rec Department after he was first taken to theΒ Rubes Creek Water Reclamation facility. But, because of the public demand, he was buried near the entrance of the Serenade subdivision and the Woodstock Welcome sign.
