Cherokee Man, 76, Missing
John Carson Bryant was last seen withdrawing "a significant amount of cash" Thursday afternoon at the Acworth Regions Bank.
A 76-year-old Acworth man with Alzheimer's has not been seen since he withdrew "a significant amount of cash" Thursday afternoon at the Acworth Regions Bank, the spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said.
And officials are requesting the public's help in locating the man, identified by Lt. Jay Baker as John Carson Bryant.
Bryant is white, about 6-feet-tall and 215 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen at 4:30 p.m. Thursday wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
Bryant was in his red 1994 Ford F-150 with Georgia tag DP1V11.
Call 911 if you have information about Bryant's whereabouts.

Not trying to be rude but just because someone has Alzheimer's does not mean he needs someone watching over him 24/7. My grandfather has Alzheimer's and is fine out driving to the store or something but remembering stuff that is said to him is a different story. People have different stages of it and some are worse than others. Making comments like that could upset the family and put guilt on them when it isn't necessarily their fault.

Theresa and Pam,
I'm sorry this happened to your dad. I read the article yesterday, not knowing it was your dad, until I was at my sister's house and saw Pam's facebook page. Your family is in my prayers during this difficult time. I hope someone can find him. Hugs

Fyi. I googled Janet Sloan and she is a healthcared person!, You should be ashamed of yourself for representing the company you work for in such a manner. It is hard to believe you are a healthcare provider and made such a comment. Janice Sloan's Experience

Janice, people with Alzheimers go thru stages and do not necessarily need someone with them at all times...also they act at times on a whim without you knowing and could be gone in a blink of an eye without you even knowing...unless you have ever cared for a lived one with Alzheimer's, SHUT UP!!!!!

I'm sure Janice is concerned and I know everyone is upset and worried, but maybe Janice doesn't know much about Alzheimer's. As myself, I never been with anyone to experience it so I wouldn't know either. But lets keep this family in our prayers and wish for the best!
