Elm Street Cultural Arts Village and Acru are teaming up to help out a deserving student during one of Woodstock's most anticipated events of the year.

Elm Street will award the Walk-On Art Scholarship sponsored by Acru to a high school junior or senior during Downtown Woodstock’s Streetfest on Saturday, March 24.

The students will compete in a sidewalk chalk art competition for the $200 scholarship.

Other prizes will be awarded for two age categories: adults and students 16 and younger. Drawings for gift certificates will take place on site throughout the day.

Registration will start at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Elm Street tent. Chalk will be provided, but entrants are also permitted to bring their own. Entries will be judged on originality and illusion. Judging taking place at 4 p.m.
