Fraternal Order of Police Endorses David Waters

Lodge 13 has backed Sheriff Roger Garrison's opponent.

The Fraternal Order of Police endorsed David Waters for Cherokee County sheriff against current Sheriff Roger Garrison.

On a message on their website, Lodge 13 will back Waters, along with Vic Reynolds for Cobb County District Attorney, Reuben Green for Cobb County Superior Court Judge, Van Pearlberg for Cobb County Superior Court Judge
and Marsha Lake for Cobb County State Court Judge.

Garrison announced his bid for re-election in January. Waters announced his bid in September.

The Fraternal Order of Police are very smart people. They know who is best for our county.

Why is a COBB COUNTY organization backing anyone in Cherokee? The rest of their political backings were all Cobb related. If this kind of stuff keeps up I am going to switch back to voting for Garrison!!

Lots of Cherokee county citizens are on Waters side- the sad thing is that not all of them can post their views for fear of losing their jobs. One is already under the radar because HIS MOM had a Waters sign in her yard--- HIS MOM!!!

The only reason it is a Cobb organization is that Garrison hasn't backed having a Fraternal order of Police in Cherokee County. The Fraternal Order of Police is a National Organization, with chapters in every state in our great country. Cobb County just happens to have the nearest branch of this organization, therefore, the endorsement from them.

AND I wouldn't consider anyone who is a member of any type "lodge" "very smart" simply because of their affiliation with a group. What an ignorant comment. Haha

FOP is just another union who wants collective bargaining. We don't need union punks in Cherokee County. Unions are just microcosms of socialists who are lazy

The FOP Is not a union. It is an organization of sworn law enforcement officers. The link below describes their mission.

http://www.fop.net/about/faq/index.shtml

The FOP is just like any other organization that a professional could join that coinsides with their job. The FOP is just like the Sheriff's Association which our current sheriff belongs to.

There are a number of officers that work and live in Cherokee County that belong to the Cobb County FOP. They want to belong to a FOP and there is not a Cherokee County Chapter.

I love how FOP won't even stand behind Garrison! So many people think Garrison is the best for the job. Ask an officer who works for him. Ask Garrison to do a 360 survey. I guarantee you he won't! Because he fears the feedback. It's really sad. But they need a job, so they put up with it. It's sad when the Sheriff abuses his powers and force his deputies to do tasks and arrests even when they don't think it's right, but that's what you get when a man's Facebook page states "Sheriff Roger Garrison- a power hungry man who's not worried about the county, but about himself. :(

David Waters supporters link on YouTube took me to a disturbing video with racial slurs and offensive behavior. The most disturbing part is that the link is on the Justice for Andrew Messina Facebook. I was just trying to watch a video clip of the debate.
