Holly Springs Jewelers Moves Downtown

Annette Esposito has brought years of experience and many cuts of a "girl's best friend" to Downtown Woodstock.

Annette Esposito has certainly come a long way, both in miles and magnitude, since her days attending to Hollywood celebs at Tiffany's in Beverly Hills. Now as the owner of and a graduate gemologist with 30 years of experience, she still fondly remembers her fledgling days in the jewelry business.

"It was quite exciting in the '80s," Esposito said of the experience. "It's kind of funny what goes on behind the scenes...all the movie stars that come in through the back door and leave through the front. Ladies would try on dresses, and I'd have to carry the jewelry to them to try on."

Nowadays, you'll find Esposito showering that same kind of "star treatment" customer-service on Woodstock residents at her new location on Chambers Street. The store transitioned to the downtown space after six years in Holly Springs, a well-timed move which she recognizes as a "great venture."

"I've put a lot of  money and effort into coming here," Esposito said. "I love this space. I think people are really going to enjoy the feeling of shopping and walking around downtown."

That "downtown experience" to which she refers, reminiscent of an era when residents would loyally champion their favorite small business owners, seems to be alive and well in Woodstock, and it's not an opportunity that Holly Springs Jewelers takes lightly. Esposito said she prides herself on her specialized knowledge of the industry as well as all the amenities that she is able to give her clients.

"We do everything," Esposito said. "We offer insurance replacement, all the repairs and continuously changing lines of jewelry."

Esposito also possesses a keen eye for unique new finds, and she intentionally doesn't do a lot of repeat orders of the same old things once an older line sell outs.

"My customers won't have to worry about seeing something they just bought on other people," Esposito said, who is deeply committed to keeping her updated inventory exciting and fresh.

Holly Springs Jewelers currently carries collections from such lines as Love Heals, Thistle & Bee , London-based Kit Heath for women and children, and a brand new line of Debbie Brooks handbags that are adorned with Swarovski crystals.

The shop has also become known as a perfect starting place for local couples who are ready to begin their lives together. Esposito's beautiful bridal lines with different colored stones abound, but she also gives brides and grooms-to-be the option to design their own creations.

"We have a lot to choose from, but I can also make customs [rings]," Esposito said. "A lot of people have a picture in their mind of what they want. We can draw it out, and I can make it for them. Sometimes they even want a ruby or a sapphire as the center instead of a diamond, and we can certainly do that, too."

This kind of dedication and creativity is the precise mix that she hopes will bring her Holly Springs clients coming back, as well as attracting Woodstock residents into her new space.

"I'm thrilled about getting new customers and keeping my old ones," Esposito said of the shift to her new downtown location. "I believe the energy and the newness of the area is really exciting."
