Student Shot At Price Middle, Teacher Injured - East Atlanta Patch

A student was shot and a teacher injured Thursday afternoon at Price Middle School in southeast Atlanta.

11Alive television reported that the student was 14-years-old and was shot in the head or back of the neck. The teacher was not shot but was hurt during the excitement after the shooting, police said. Visit East Atlanta Patch for more on this story.

Sandy Springs Police Capture a Suspect in Alpharetta Shooting - Sandy Springs Patch

Sandy Springs police helped capture Jerad Terel Ownes, 22, Wednesday afternon. He was charged with felony murder, armed robbery, burglary, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Alpharetta police are seeking a second suspect in the shooting death of an Alpharetta man on Monday night. Zachary Rose, 22, died after being shot in the lower abdomen during an incident on Whitestone Ridge at Stoneridge subdivision. For more on this story, visit Sandy Springs Patch.

APD Seeks Help Identifying 'Buckhead Bandit - Buckhead Patch

Atlanta Police are investigating a series of armed business robberies committed by a suspect, dubbed the Buckhead Bandit. Police have released the attached surveillance videos in hopes that the suspect may be identified.

The Buckhead Bandit, a black male suspect who is approximately 5-foot-7, is thought to have committed about 10 armed robberies in the area, including a pharmacy in Midtown and a Subway in Brookhaven. For more on this story, visit Buckhead Patch.

Dead Body Found on I-85 in Norcross Area - Norcross Patch

Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian on Interstate 85 North between Pleasantdale Road and Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

Around 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, a Corrections Work Detail was cleaning debris off Dawson Boulevard and Graves Road when they discovered a dead body. The body was discovered next to a concrete barrier near a small ravine and could not be seen off the interstate. For more on this story, visit Norcross Patch.
