Fire Damages Towne Lake Home

No one was injured in the early morning fire in the Towne Lake Hills South subdivision.

A Towne Lake home was damaged in an early morning fire.

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and Woodstock Fire and Rescue responded to the call just after 12:30 a.m. to find the two-story house at 302 Providence Point in the Towne Lake Hills South subdivision with heavy internal smoke and fire damage, said Tim Cavender, spokesman for the Cherokee Fire and EMS.

“First reports coming into Cherokee County 911 indicated that the basement was on fire,” Cavender said. “A neighbor also advised that the occupants of the house were out and everyone was safe.”

Cavender said the American Red Cross is assisting the family.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
