Cherokee Academies Apps to Come
Applications will be available online starting April 9.
Applications for the four Cherokee STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) academies and two fine arts academies that are slated to open this fall will be available on the school district's website starting on April 9.
Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis from April 16 through May 11.
None of the STEM programs are located at Woodstock-Towne Lake schools, but Bascomb, Boston and Mountain Road elementary schools are some of the centralized transportation hubs for students to travel back and forth to the six academies within the county.
The attached letter will be going home to parents of elementary school students this week and details the options for enrollment, transportation and curriculum at the academies.
