Original Report

Woodstock Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery at the Arnold Mill Road Chevron Gas Station Dec. 7.

The suspect is a black male between 30 to 40 years old. He was wearing a white baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, stone wash jeans and black shoes at the time of the incident, said Brittany Duncan, spokeswoman for the Woodstock Police Department. He is believed to live in the area or has family or friends in the area.

On Dec. 7, officers responded to a call at approximately 10:10 p.m. where the Chevron clerk said the suspect had entered the store and purchased five lottery tickets 25 minutes earlier. When the clerk told the suspect he was closing at 10 p.m., the suspect approached the counter, pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun from his jacket pocket and demanded money from the cash register, Duncan said. The suspect fled from the store after he received the money.

The store clerk suffered from minor bruises during the incident, Duncan said.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to call 770-592-6030 or Woodstock Police Department Tip Line at 770-592-6021. Callers can remain anonymous.
