River Park Home Damaged In Fire

No one was injured in the blaze.

 

A home in the River Park subdivision was damaged in a late Monday morning fire, according to a press release from the Woodstock Fire Department. 

First responders with the Woodstock Fire Department and Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to 403 Chatooga Lane after Cherokee County E-911 received a call for service around 11:15 a.m. 

The homeowner, who was not at home when the fire started, returned home to discover the fire blazing in its utility room. Fire fighters were able to contain the fire to the first floor of the home, but home suffered smoke damage was located throughout the home. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
