Speak Out: Should Sex Offenders Post Past Convictions on Facebook?

A Louisiana law might give Facebook users TMI if they're friends with a convicted sex offender.

Imagine this: You're surfing Facebook, adding a friend here and there and you come across someone who writes that he or she is a sex offender. Too much information? Maybe. Legally required? Yes, in Louisiana.

CNN reports that a new law requires sex offenders and child predators post their status on social media sites.

Patch asks: Do you think sex offenders and child predators should be required to post that information on social media sites?

I will let you in on a little secret, Jessie. The registry was passed ex-post facto and can include anyone a legislature wants. The registry is being used to systematically banish without hearing and many times long after a sentence has been completed from every aspect of society without hearing and without challenge.

Do you really believe a registry has be to followed under those conditions?

What kind of system of government do you have? Because a system of government that I just described above is called: Totalitarianism, by definition.

Your registry and registry laws are being laughed at!
