Tour the Renovated Senior Center

An open house will be held this Monday.

The Cherokee County Senior Center, which has added 2,000 square feet of additional space, will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.

According to an email from the Cherokee County Volunteer Aging Council, the renovations include expanded kitchen space for Meals on Wheels, an improved entrance with hand rails, a new covered area for pickups/dropoffs, new restrooms, new game rooms, a craft room, conference room and a renovated garden.

All of the upgrades were paid for with SPLOST dollars as well as grants and other donations.

The open house was originally scheduled for July 30, but got pushed back due to unfinished work.
