Volunteers Needed for Park Cleanup
The community will be cleaning up Olde Rope Mill Park in celebration of Earth Week.
Woodstock is gearing up for Earth Week starting Monday.
The city is part of the national Great American Cleanup, which organizes volunteers in locally directed activities that encourage individual stewardship for the environment and care for the community.
The Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to be involved in this year's Great American Stream Cleanup at Olde Rope Mill Park off Ridgewalk Parkway.
The cleanup begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 21 at the park.
Volunteers are still needed for the daylong event.
Call the Stormwater Department at 770-592-6000 ext. 1702 or e-mail kshostak@woodstockga.gov for more information.

I love everything about this park. You can always see me out there on the weekends on the trails or just hanging out at the ruins. One of the best things about it is people respect it and keep it clean. I hope there are a lot of volunteers to help with the cleanup and continue to make this one of the beautiful sites in Woodstock.
