Woodstock Council To Consider Resolution On Trail Funding
The resolution would support donating money to construct a new mountain bike trail in the city.
A resolution to support donating money to two organizations to build a mountain biking trail will be considered by the Woodstock City Council on Monday.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. at the Chambers at City Center in downtown Woodstock.
City staff has identified funding for up to $40,000 as a dollar for dollar match to SORBA Woodstock and Greenprints Alliance to build the Fierce Loop at the Taylor Randahl Mountain Bike Trails at Olde Rope Mill Park.
The funds would come from impact fees and the land, which is already being leased by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, also counts towards the acreage requirement of land in the city's impact fee ordinance.
