Woodstock Hosts T-SPLOST Meeting

A Cherokee Tea Party Patriots member provides T-SPLOST fact sheets and information on upcoming meetings.

Conrad Quagliaroli of the Cherokee Tea Party Patriots provides the following information and attachments about the T-SPLOST:

I am providing a one-page sheet with facts on the T-SPLOST, what you can do to stop it and questions to ask of our elected officials. You can take the attachment to the Town Hall meetings listed below.

I've also provided a power point on the T-SPLOST that will be on the ballot July 31. It is one of the best presentations I have seen on the T-SPLOST. If you flip through this power point, you will know all there is to know about the T-SPLOST.

There are two upcoming official T-SPLOST meetings you should try to make. And don't forget to register.

WHEN: April 26 at 6 p.m. Registration is required. Contact Cindypoole@cherokeebank.com.

WHAT: A town hall on the T-SPLOST

NAME OF GROUP: County Board of Commissioners

SPEAKER/SUBJECT: Ask Buzz Ahrens-Chairman, Cherokee County Board of Commissioners and member of ARC-Atlanta Regional Commission why he is involved in this deceptive plan to funnel our tax dollars to Atlanta. This is being sold to us as a 10-year tax, but the truth is it’s a 2050 vision that includes light rail to Cherokee to promote diversity and regional governance (taking power away from your home town). This tax will NEVER end.

Note: this also explains the push to build all these apartments where the trains are scheduled to stop. Some public officials and developers have MUCH to gain if we vote yes to this big tax in July. Stand up and say NO for your children’s sake!

WHERE: The Chambers at City Center at 8534 Main St.

COST: Free

-------------

WHEN: April 25 at 6 p.m.

WHAT: T-SPLOST propaganda meeting

SPEAKER/SUBJECT:  T-SPLOST supporters

WHERE: Glenn Memorial Church at 1660 N. Decatur Rd. NE, Atlanta

COST: Free

What can you do if you support SPLOST and want a light rail system and better transport links to stop us becoming even more backward and country as a town?

We are - if nothing more than to counter the utter nonsense written above in the Speaker/Subject section.
