Woodstock Man Shot 5 Times
A 22-year-old man survived four gunshots to the torso and one to the leg.
A Woodstock man was shot five times this morning in his bedroom in Noonday Mobile Home Park.
Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies found Ivan Valadez, 22, at approximately 7 a.m. after he had been shot four times in the torso and once in the leg in his mobile home off Dupree Road, said Lt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives found approximately nine bullet holes throughout the home, but no other homes were hit.
"It would appear the suspects were targeting this specific residence," Baker said.
Valadez was transported to Kennestone Hospital and is in stable condition.
His sister and mother were also home during the time of the shooting, Baker said, but were not injured.
"It appears the shots were fired from a moving vehicle inside the mobile home park," Baker said.
Investigators are seeking the public's help with the vehicle. They are searching for a black, Ford F-150, step-side pickup truck. The truck has black after-market wheels and European tail lights which are round and clear.
Anyone with any information related to the vehicle or the incident is urged to contact 911.
