Research, research and research. I think sometimes we are all guilty of this. We are in a hurry and we want a haircut/hair color right now. But that can be our first mistake. When finding the right hair salon for you, you need to do a few things.

1. The web is your friend, search for hair salons in your local area. Look at the salon reviews.

2. Ask your friends.

3. Make a reservation with the stylist.

4. Make sure stylist is willing and is going to do a complete consultation with you. If you feel rushed during your consultation, don't feel uncomfortable to  say to the stylist that you are unsure of what you want today. And it is okay to leave the salon. You want to make sure you are comfortable with your salon and most important your stylist.
