An anonymous tip lead to the arrest of a California absconded sex offender living on Sweet Gum Street in Woodstock. Larry Darnell Oliver, 50, was arrested this morning and charged with the violation of the Georgia Sex Offender Registry and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, said Lt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office. Detectives found the handgun while executing a search warrant.
