Five Activities That Will Keep Your Children Moving

Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency has a slew of activities available to keep toddlers, children and teenagers active and social.

The Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency has a slew of new activities they are rolling out for children in Cherokee County.

These activities are designed not only to teach new skills to children, they are also used to keep children active and moving. 

  • The S.T.A.R.S. Leisure Spectrum is a six-week program that allows children age 13 and older to take weekly field trips inside the community. Activities range from bowling and bounce houses to movies, arcade games or going shopping. Most of the trips will include dinner.
  • Zumbatonic is a free dance and fitness class offered to special needs children age 4 through 12. 
  • Teams of Tomorrow (TOT) is for children age 5 to 13, and will focus on fun, challenging basketball drills set to music. 
  • Tiny Tykes teaches two-year-olds basic coordination skills for t-ball, soccer, football and basketball.
  • SporTykes introduces toddlers ages 3 to 4 the basic coordination skills for t-ball, soccer, football and basketball.
