Skynyrd, Stewart, Buble, NIN, Fogerty on Tap

These are just five of the big acts still to come to Georgia in October.

Performers Sarah Brightman and Michael McDonald are among the headliners for major concerts this week in the area. But the well-known acts are just getting started as more big names hit north Georgia before month's end.

Here's a look at just five of those concerts coming before November.

Oct. 18, Lynyrd Skynyrd withThe Marshall Tucker Band andMolly Hatchet. The legendary Southern rockers play together at Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre in Alpharetta. All three bands are a long way from their 1970s roots -- there have been decades of plane crashes, car accidents, natural deaths, health problems and retirements -- but they carry on the traditions of Southern hard rock.
