Woodstock Closes Offices For Christmas Holiday

Trash service in the city will be delayed by one day due to the Christmas holiday.

In observance of the Christmas holiday, Woodstock city offices are closed today and Wednesday.

The city will return to its normal schedule on Thursday.

Additionally, Woodstock residents utilizing Waste Management will have to wait an extra day if they usually have their trash collected on Wednesday. Garbage service will not run on Christmas Day, so collection in the city will be pushed back one day.

Residents whose trash is collected on Thursday will have their service pushed back to Friday. Those who normally enjoy a Friday pick-up will have their service fulfilled on Saturday.

The Cherokee County government will also be closed today, tomorrow and Thursday in observance of the holiday. County offices and employees will return to business as usual on Friday.

Also:

  • The Sequoyah Regional Library System will be closed today, tomorrow, Thursday and will re-open on Friday.
  • The Cherokee County School District remains closed this week.
  • Offices at Reinhardt University will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas, but will re-open on Thursday.
  • Chattahoochee Technical College offices are all closed this week.
