Active Adult Community in Hickory Flat Begins Construction on 19 New Homes

The Orchards Group’s active adult community in Hickory Flat has seen a steady stream of sales this year, with 90 of the homes already sold. With only 140 homes total in the community, that makes The Orchards of East Cherokee more than 60 percent sold out!

Because of the increase in sales, The Orchards Group has begun construction on a large number of new homes. Featuring a mix of both single-family and ranch condominium homes, there are now 19 new homes under construction, with 10 of those homes having already been sold.

Scheduled to be ready in mid-January of 2014, the first new start will feature a ranch condominium building that will include four homes from the Southern Heritage collection.

One of the new homes in the ranch condominium building will feature the Charleston plan, a spacious two bedroom, two bath floor plan. Priced at $240,000, this 1,700 square foot design has a private den that can be turned into an office space or a bedroom, a large living room with fireplace, breakfast area, kitchen with a large bar and a formal dining room. In addition, there is a walk-up storage area above the two-car garage.

Two of the ranch condominium homes will consist of the Ashewood plan, a 1,700 square foot home with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both of the Ashewood homes also include an additional 400 square feet of living space in the activities suite with a full bathroom that is located over the garage.

The final home in the building will be a Beaumont home design that also features an upstairs activities suite. Priced at $232,000, this home includes more than 2,000 square feet of living space. This open floor plan has a fireside living room, kitchen with spacious bar, dining room, breakfast area and laundry room.
