Woodstock Cloggers Earn National Champion Titles!

PowerTaps Cloggers from Woodstock, Georgia won big at the Cadence National Clogging Championships held April 11-12th in Asheville, North Carolina.  They competed against teams from around the country and took home the Overall Traditional Team National title for both the Rookie and Challenge divisions for achieving the highest score of any traditional clogging team at the event.  In addition, the team brought home 18 category overalls, 4 Team of the Day awards for highest scoring team in an age division, and 8 Grand Champion awards for highest score in a dance category.  PowerTaps dancers Kathryn Edmondson and Lachlan Hadley were named National Champions in the Contemporary Duo category and Tori O’Bryant and Jana Rickard took home the National Championship title for Traditional Duo.  Tyler Wade earned a National title for Male Soloist.

PowerTaps will be hosting the Power Showcase on Monday, May 19th at the Elm Street Theatre in downtown Woodstock.  This recital performance is open to the public.  Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children.  Proceeds from this performance will go to support a local ministry.
