Accomplishments: Aimee is dually enrolled at WHS and Kennesaw State. She is the director of a nonprofit organization called Consider Him Outreach Ministry, which evolved from activities Aimee and four other high schoolers started in 2009. This ministry addresses the needs of young women throughout Cherokee County and provides them a safe place for friendship, Bible study and community service. The ministry hosts Girls Night Out, a monthly gathering open to all young women. Girls Night Out is free and food is provided along with an inspirational message.

Aimee and the other group leaders raised all the funds for the ministry and Girls Night Out. Past activities included community service events such as visits to nursing homes and a recent event during which the girls made cozy fleece blankets for residents of a women’s shelter.

This past fall, Aimee and the other group leaders began the long process of applying for 501(3)C (nonprofit) status, aided by Traci Heidt, executive director of Stellaris Ministries.

Key to Awesomeness: Aimee is clearly a high achiever who has a passion for giving to others. She found her path early in life and looks forward to a career in the nonprofit sector. In addition to her work with the Consider Him Outreach Ministry, Aimee mentors other young women in her community. She has logged over 350 service hours with Giving Point, a nonprofit group affiliated with Stellaris Ministries. After graduating in May from Woodstock High School, Aimee plans to expand the Consider Him Outreach Ministry and create new chapters at the college level.

All this and she is an excellent student as well. Congratulations, Aimee, on all your achievements and thank you for your service to others!
