AYP Results, Lake Safety Tips Are In

Here is the information you need to know July 22.

1. There is only a 20 percent chance of rain this afternoon. The rest of the day will be mostly sunny with a high near 93 degrees. The heat index values as high as 100 degrees. This evening will be partly cloudy with a low of 74 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The Georgia Department of Education released the 2011 adequate yearly progress results. Two Woodstock schools did not make AYP. See how your school ranked at 9 a.m.

3. Continuing with Lake Safety tips, the Gerogia Department of Resources offers life jacket information for boaters and swimmers. Watch his video interview at 4 p.m. to learn more about how to avoid drowning and how to be fully prepared when you are swimming or taking the boat out on the lake.
