County Approves Transportation Wish List

Here is some information you need to know before you start your day March 16.

1. The day is going to start off mostly cloudy, but the sun will be making an appearance this afternoon with a high of 64 degrees.

2. The received all its entries, and voting will start today. Look for details on how you can vote on a local artist at 10 a.m.

3. An Etowah High School student organized a for his senior project. All the proceeds went to the Cherokee County Chapter of the Yellow Ribbon Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Awareness. Watch the on the first Live On Fishing Tournament.

4. The Cherokee commissioners voted Tuesday on how they want to spend a 1 percent special transportation sales and use tax. The board approved a wish list of projects to send to the Georgia Department of Transportation to consider as part of the Georgia 2020 Transportation Act. See the at 8 a.m.
