Couple's Fourth Daughter is Cherokee's First Baby of 2014

Enid Rubi Villatoro was born at 1:06 a.m. Wednesday. She weighed 7 pounds, 4.8 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

A Woodstock couple with three daughters is celebrating 2014 with the addition of a new baby girl to their family.

Rubidia Flores-Perez gave birth to Enid Rubi Villatoro at 1:06 a.m. Wednesday, making the little bundle of joy Cherokee County's first baby born in 2014. Little Enid was born at Northside Hospital-Cherokee in Canton.

Baby Enid weighed 7 pounds, 4.8 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long when she entered the world. She joins her mother, father Santo Villatoro and three older sisters Mirian, 12, Melissa, 7 and Julissa, 3 to make up the family of six.

Flores-Perez said the baby was doing well and her daughters were "very happy" about becoming big sisters.

She noted her doctor initially told her Enid would be born around Jan. 21, but an ultrasound determined the child was set to be born Thursday, Jan. 2.

Villatoro said they came up with Enid's first name when they overheard it at a local clinic, adding they both liked the name. Flores-Perez added her baby's middle name is the same as hers.
