Downtown Water Line Repairs Begin Today

Here is the information you need to know June 9.

1. Today is going to be mostly sunny with a high of 93 degrees. There is a 20 percent chance of rain after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

2. A Woodstock father is accused of having illegal images on his computer, but his wife says he didn't download them. A Patch reader saw Michael Stinson's photo in the Cherokee County Mug Shots and Holly Springs-Hickory Flat editor Jessie Gable has the for you. 

3.Cherokee Charter Academy supplied the Cherokee County School District with student enrollment data, but officials say it is not sufficient. Read the report released by the district Wednesday .

4. Woodstock native, and Georgia Tech third baseman was selected in the fifth round of the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft Tuesday. The junior was the 157th overall pick and was taken by the Washington Nationals.

5. Public Works Crews will begin working on a broken water line at 9076 Main St. One lane will be closed until the work is finished, but officials do not have a timeline of how long the repairs will take. Once the water line repairs are completed,  a temporary steel plate will remain in the roadway.
