Extravaganza Links Cherokee Seniors With Resources

The annual Senior Extravaganza hosted by Cherokee Triad-S.A.L.T. is set for Saturday morning in Woodstock.

Cherokee County senior citizens will have a slew of resources at their fingertips at the annual Senior Extravaganza. 

The event, put on by Cherokee Triad - S.A.L.T., will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cherokee County Recreation Center at 7545 Main Street in Woodstock. 

Over 70 exhibitors will be on hand for seniors to learn more about and to take advantage of. Also the event will feature free all-day bingo games, a fashion show, singing, fitness demonstrations, health screenings and door prizes drawn at every half-hour.

Cherokee Triad - S.A.L.T., or Seniors and Law Enforcement Together, is a collaborative effort among local police agencies and other organizations that work to educate and inform residents about resources that can help them live a better quality of life.

They regularly hold programs and meetings to educate seniors about topics such as identity fraud and other concerns specific to the older Cherokee County community.
