Fourth of July Events in Woodstock

Raise a flag this Independence Day and participate in these patriotic events in Woodstock.

The city of Woodstock will once again hold its annual Freedom Fest to celebrate Independence Day.

The annual celebration of our nation's capital will kick off with the annual Woodstock Freedom Run. The run will start at 7:30 a.m. and will shut down Main Street and Rope Mill Road between Highway 92 and Woodstock Elementary School.

The annual parade will start at 10 a.m. and its participants will travel along Main Street and Rope Mill Road from Highway 92 to Woodstock Elementary School. Woodstock staff will hand out trophies for the Best Holiday Float and the Most Original Float. 

After the parade, the festival at the Park at City Center will kick off at 11 a.m. and will feature food, arts & crafts, gumball guess, cake walk, a free concert with Steve Phillips & Midnight Express, kids activities and more. 

Road closures scheduled during the downtown events include: Main Street at the old Wal-Mart/Brands for Less Furniture Store, Main Sreet at Serenade Lane, Main Street at Bowles Drive, Main Street at Ingram Street, Main Street at Barnesdale Terrace, Main Street at Dupree Road, Main Street at Noonday Street, Main Street at Oak Street, Main Street at Mill Street, Main Street at Rope Mill Road and Main Street at Dobbs Road. 

At sunset, the city will kick off its fireworks display at the Woodstock Square Shopping Center on Woodstock Square Avenue at Highway 92.
