Get Out: Library Book Sale, Plays and More

Here's our guide to what's happening across Cherokee County this weekend!

  • The Friends of the Library Book Sale will take place at 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at R.T. Jones Memorial Library in Canton. Proceeds benefit the Sequoyah Regional Library System.
  • Elm Street Arts will present at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Visit www.elmstreetarts.org for more information. 
  • Canton Theatre will present Crimes of the Heart: A Mississippi tragic comedy 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $15 and $12 for seniors and students.
  • Cherokee Arts Center will hold its Member Show and Sale's opening reception Friday at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Canton. Call (770) 704-6244 or info@cherokeearts.org for more information. 
  • The Etowah High School Lacross Booster Club is holding its annual garage sale between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at the school's alumni gym. 
  • Author River Jordan will visit FoxTale Book Shoppe at 1 p.m. Saturday for a writing workshop and book signing. The cost is $50 and you must RSVP in advance. Call (770) 516-9989 for more information.
