Lil Wayne Visits Cherokee

3.  public safety officers were sworn in as official members of the college’s newly designated police department. The 16 officers from the eight campuses will now undergo more rigorous training and add equipment including radios, blue lights and other items to their program. See .

4. The Duluth Police Department C.O.P.S Division will be hosting an Operation Drive Smart Expo for the students Oct. 13. The program is brought to the school by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety in partnership with the Duluth Police Department. The Drive Smart Expo consists of stations which discuss the importance of teen safe driving. The Expo’s goal is to reach as many teens as possible through educational intervention. Under a grant through the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Duluth Police Department is able to travel to high schools throughout the state with the Operation Drive Smart Expo.
