Marshall Tucker Band Concert Could Bring Heavy Traffic into Woodstock

Woodstock police ask residents to carpool, park in permitted areas and drive with caution Saturday night in downtown Woodstock.

A popular band rounding out the city of Woodstock's 2013 Summer Concert Series is expected to bring heavy traffic to downtown Woodstock.

The Marshall Tucker Band will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Park at City Center, and the Woodstock Police Department encourages anyone attending to carpool, park in permitted areas and to drive with caution in the area.

Additional police personnel will be on hand to assist with traffic control, and the agency also wants concert goers to comply with offers directing traffic and allow for extra travel time to and from the concert.
