Motorcycle Ride Could Cause Traffic Jam
The Sonny Roper Memorial Toy Ride will kick off at 11 a.m. Nov. 5.
A motorcycle ride set for early November throughout Cherokee County could cause a snag in traffic.
The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is notifying residents that the Sonny Roper Memorial Toy Ride, which will be on Nov. 5, could cause traffic in the areas of:
- Highway 140 between Mountain Road and Sugar Pike Road
- Lower Birmingham Road
- Highway 372
- Yellow Creek Road
- Highway 108 between the Pickens County line to Waleska;
- Reinhardt College Parkway from Waleska to Highway 5;
- Hickory Road near Messer Reece Road.
The ride honors Sonny Roper, past master of the Hickory Flat Masonic Lodge #205, who passed away in 2012.
