New Series Begins Today

1. Woodstock-Towne Lake is supposed to see up to a quarter inch of rain today with temperatures in the high 40s. The National Weather Service says the low is 39 degrees.

2. We are rolling out a new weekly series today. Read the first business spotlight at noon featuring Brad and Sue Becker and their creation: . This Tuesday feature written and shot by will highlight different businesses across Woodstock-Towne Lake and will give you a chance to learn more about the entrepreneurs of your town.

3. Have you checked out our events calendar? Did you know you can add your own events? If your neighborhood writing club meets weekly, add it. If your boy scouts troop meets on the weekends and looking for new members, add it. If your business does trivia or karaoke every Friday, add it. We want this to be your space to share information about your town.

4. The Towne Lake Business Association is having local James Ball speak at its  today at 12:30 p.m. He will be discussing topics familiar to him such as social media and how to generate more business using these tools. Ball is the Digital Marketing Director for AroundAbout Local Media, Inc. The meeting does encourage reservations for future purposes, but walk-ins are welcomed.
