Park(ing) Day Brings The Arts To Downtown Woodstock

Parking spaces in downtown Woodstock came alive with the arts as Green Reaps Opportunity for Woodstock, or GROW, participated in Park(ing) Day 2013.

It's GROW's second consecutive year taking part in the nationwide movement, which transforms parking spaces into temporary public gathering spaces.

The initiative is designed to draw attention to the need for more open urban spaces.

Four temporary spaces will be set up throughout downtown until 5 pm this evening: Walton West along Market Street, GROW/Elm Street Cultural Arts Village and Woodstock Elementary School (both along Main Street at Mill Street) and Foxtale Book Shoppe at East Main Street.
