Residents will soon have the chance to learn about Woodstock through a scavenger hunt.
The Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt will kick off Oct. 25 and run through Nov. 1.
The week-long hunt will provide 100 challenges in which participants will be given an opportunity to create photos of various things around the city.
The hunt, which is free, will allow the first place team to win $100 Downtown Dollars Gift Certificates and other prizes. The scavenger hunt activity list will be posted at 9 a.m. Friday Oct. 25 on whatsupwoodstock.com and the Main Street Woodstock Facebook page.
Hard copies will also be available at the Woodstock Visitors Center at Dean's Store at 10 a.m. Friday Oct. 25.
Those participating will have a week to complete the challenge. The scores will be based on a scale depending on their degree of difficulty. While residents most likely won't be able to complete all 100 activities, they are advised to choose "wisely so you can get the most points out of each challenge."
Contestants will be able to take photos with a camera or cell phone, which will provide them with visual proof of completing the challenges in the hunt
