'Summit Chix' Wins Woodstock Scavenger Hunt

The three-person team won a $100 Downtown Dollars Gift Certificate

Summit Chix has received the honor of winning the first ever Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt.

The team — made up of Christina Smith, Allison Chandler and Kat Lambert — took home $100 Downtown Dollars Gift Certificate, and other gift certificates from downtown merchants.

Businesses donating prizes for the top three teams include Salon & Spa Venessa, The Wright Stuff Collectables, Canyons Burger Company, Salon Bastille, Dismero Redline, Natural Strides and Brooklynn’s.

The scavenger hunt, which ran between Oct. 25 and Nov. 1, consisted of 100 challenges that required contestants to take creative photos at various points across Woodstock. To earn bonus points, those teams also turned in receipts from purchases they made at various downtown businesses.

Participating teams spent $1,512 at downtown Woodstock businesses during the contest, said Kyle Bennett, director of tourism and visitor center operations for the city of Woodstock.

The next Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt will take place in spring 2014.
