Woodstock Woman Claims $1 Million Lottery Prize

Lora Sansing claimed her prize on Friday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

A Woodstock woman is the winner of a $1 million prize from a Powerball ticket she purchased last week at a convenience store on Bells Ferry Road.

Lora Sansing claimed her prize on Friday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta, lottery officials said on Monday. 

The winning Powerball ticket was sold on Oct. 2 at PJ's Food Mart, located at 6741 Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock.

Winning numbers from the Oct. 2 drawing were: 4-6-25-42-51 and the Powerball was 17. Sansing's ticket matched the first five winning numbers of the drawing.

Wednesday’s Powerball drawing is at an estimated $108 million to a single annuity winner.  

Proceeds from lottery tickets purchases go towards funding education in the state.
