'Gospel Fest' Brings Song, Dance To Cherokee

The third annual event, which is free, will feature local singers and dancers who will come together and celebrate Black History Month.

The third-annual Gospel Fest will return to Cherokee County on Sunday. 

The musical event celebrating February as Black History Month will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sunday Feb. 24 at the Cherokee Arts Center in downtown Canton. 

This year's music acts will encompass a diverse group of talent such as a mass choir, praise and dance teams and soloist performances. 

The event is free and open to the public and is being coordinated in a parthership with the Cherokee County Arts Council. Gospel Fest is being sponosored by Utility Partners, LLC. 

The Rev. Fred Forsh will coordinate the music for the choir and musicians.
